Rocky - Bilateral TPLO

Meet Rocky our November 2021, Pet of the Month! Rocky is a 11-year-old Labrador Retriever. We first met Rocky in November 2014 for rehabilitation therapy following a left tibial plateau levelling osteotomy (TPLO) surgery. Since his initial exam, in 2014 Rocky has been coming to the clinic for therapeutic modalities such as underwater treadmill, shock wave therapy, laser therapy, massage therapy, therapeutic exercises just to name a few and is considered one of our most experienced patients. Over the years Rocky has developed additional disease process including: bilateral medial coronoid disease, IVDD, bilateral supraspinatus tendinopathy, bilateral biceps tendinopathy, and chronic left iliopsoas tendinopathy. Despite his list of issues he doesn’t let that stop him! He really enjoys his time spent during his visits and has developed the nick name “the chocolate tornado”. He is also our champion peanut butter Kong eater. No other patient in the history of Pawsitive Steps can finish as much peanut butter as Rocky! We continue to see Rocky on a regular basis and our goals is to keep the chocolate tornado going!
