Lessons learned blogging about\u00a0veterinary rehabilitation…<\/h2>\n

Last July we published our first blog and emailed our first newsletter on Acoustic Compression Therapy<\/a>\u00a0(ACT). \u00a0This year has flown by, and we have made several changes to the look and feel of our electronic communications. \u00a0Reflecting over the year here are some of our lessons learned…<\/p>\n

The Good<\/h3>\n

When we first started, our newsletter arrived in your inbox as “July Pawsitive Pet\u00a0Briefs.” \u00a0As naming goes it was pretty generic, and boring…but predictable. \u00a0After listening to a political talk show on NPR, our first real change to the newsletter was the name. \u00a0The title would no longer be the same from month to month, but more of a preview of\u00a0that month’s theme or topic. \u00a0After this change, the number of subscribers who took the time to open our newsletter grew significantly. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The Bad<\/h3>\n

We will not pretend that we are English majors and occasionally a grammar or misspelling slips past us. \u00a0Due dates can sneak up on a person, causing this mistake to happen about every three months for us. \u00a0Last month’s newsletter brought us the gem “Making at<\/em><\/strong> Splash with Hydrotherapy.” Thankfully, nothing has been offensive or inaccurate!<\/p>\n

The Surprises<\/h3>\n

Some of us here are really enjoying tracking our “numbers” over the months. \u00a0How many people did we reach, what article did they read, and are we improving these numbers? \u00a0Some of our most heartfelt articles had a high number of people reading the blog, and that is no surprise. \u00a0Our biggest surprise came with the blogs written on disease processes, just medical facts and advice, had just as many readers as the warm and fuzzy blogs.<\/p>\n

The Future<\/h3>\n

As we start our second year of blogging, we look forward to bringing you more topics on veterinary rehabilitation. \u00a0We are a passionate group who enjoy sharing our knowledge; we hope you continue to enjoy what we share with the world.<\/p>\n
