Meet Poppy, our January Pet of the Month! Poppy is a very active young Bengal. At 7 months old, she fractured her left lower thigh bone at a growth plate and had surgery to repair the fracture. Because of her age, she was healing very quickly (which is good), but her patellar ligament became trapped in the healing process and ended up out of place and needed another surgery 1 month later to correct her medial patellar luxation (MPL). She started rehabilitation therapy at Pawsitive Steps Rehab to help strengthen her thigh muscles and ensure that everything healed with good range of motion. She was a very brave girl and even tried out the underwater treadmill!
